See our call for papers <a href=\"https:\/\/dissect.ugent.be\/events\/faq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where can I find the programme?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants are expected to attend the entirety of the proceedings. The conference will start with lunch served at <strong>12:00 on Monday 7 September 2026 <\/strong>at Mas Boronat. If you do not arrive in time for lunch, we kindly ask that you are at Mas Boronat by 1:30pm in time for the introduction and keynote lecture. Proceedings will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, beginning at 9:00 each days. The conference will conclude at <strong>18:00 on Wednesday, 9 September.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will soon receive a draft programme. If you wish to arrive early or stay longer, please book and pay for your extra nights (Euros 150 per night) directly with <a href=\"https:\/\/masboronat.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mas Boronat<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DISSECT will offer the following meals, provided by and at Mas Boronat:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dinner on 7 and 8 September\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Breakfasts on 8 and 9 September\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lunch on the three days of the conference\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tea and coffee breaks during the conference\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to have dinner at Mas Boronat on 9 September, please book directly and in advance with <a href=\"https:\/\/masboronat.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mas Boronat<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is DISSECT organising ground transportation?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those interested in sharing a taxi from the airport to Mas Boronat, we have created a shared excel sheet you have received by email for you to include your travel details, to enable those who so wish to coordinate local transport directly with one another without further involvement of the conference committee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will DISSECT refund my travel costs?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, prospective participants who indicated at the time of their abstract submission that they intended to apply for a travel grant have been invited to do so.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If DISSECT has awarded you a travel grant<\/strong>,<strong> please keep your receipts<\/strong><strong><em> and boarding passes<\/em><\/strong><strong>, without which we will not be able to refund your tickets.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can I participate online?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, in order to foster in-depth engagement and conversations, we require in-person attendance throughout the proceedings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Am I expected to produce a paper prior to the conference taking place?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, we require participants to send us a first draft of their paper (minimum 3,000 and maximum 9,000 words) by 30 June 2026. We will share papers with other conference participants unless you explicitly let us know you do not want your paper to be shared.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My paper is co-authored. Can we all attend the conference?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, but DISSECT will only cover the costs of the accommodation and meals of one speaker, so please book directly accommodation and meals with for the additional speaker(s) with <a href=\"https:\/\/masboronat.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mas Boronat<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What format will be adopted for the conference presentations?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will provide more information on the presentation format in due time. Please use the subject line: [Your Name]_Conference Presentation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the intention to publish the proceedings of the conference?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the richness of the abstracts we have received, we are keen to use the conference as a platform for preparing an edited volume which we shall offer to a prestigious press, such as Cambridge University Press. We shall approach selected authors after the conference has taken place, inviting them to transform their paper into one chapter of the proposed volume.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I have specific needs. What should I do?&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You hopefully will have indicated these needs at registration, and we have\/will let you know whether we are able to accommodate them.
